Chick Magnet

Remember the Yorkie I blogged about last week? Well, we finally decided to keep her Friday afternoon. Thursday night, my husband wanted to know what we were going to do with "our dog"--a Freudian Slip for sure. Our sweet little dog knew how to wrap her male master around her little paw when she purposely lay between his legs that same night. Yep, she's a keeper. I think the two best things about her are that 1.) she is very quiet and 2.) she does not shed. Oh and she is great with the kids too!

Her name is Lily. Lily from Chile but not really.

So Saturday I decided to take her to a local event with the kids. She scoped the place out at about this height.

The grassy area where we saw a real live alligator in the Creatures of Texas show.

The concrete lot where Lily watched passerbys and said hello to every kid that walked passed us and ate every piece of dropped popcorn.

Oh, by the way, did you know that if you own a dog and take it to a family friendly event that every thirty seconds someone will stop you and ask you what kind of dog you have or if they can pet your dog? Heck, I never knew that before Saturday, but I know now! And some will just pick up your dog. No wonder they say dogs are chick magnets...I totally get it now.

It was definitely a dog's life Saturday. Lots of pampering for Lily and lots of love. We definitely enjoyed it!

That one's definitely a keeper. We had the same experience with our MinPin. The best way ever to meet people. Besides sending out great blogs like this one!

Glad you decided to keep her. I'm sure she will be spoiled and given lots of love and you will be repayed with lots of doggie smooches!

Awww, congrats on your new family member! We try to take our Annie with us everywhere we can, and we always get tons of comments about how sweet she is or how beautiful.

I love dogs!

Puppies and babies! If you send a man out in public with either a puppy or a baby he'll be the most popular person in the county.

Lily from Chile is a doll baby!

The not shedding part is such a plus. That is a very long-legged Yorkie!

Y'all are so great! We are definitely enjoying our new lovie, Lily. She's even began playing with the kids which gives me time to do other things. Still not sure if she understands English though...oh well, at least "no" is the same in Spanish and English!
