The Boudin Gods Have Spoken: Winners of the Spring Giveaway!

I was going to post the winner of the Spring Giveaway earlier this morning, but my husband decided to get out the grill and cook us up some boudin sausages for breakfast. Anyone who has ever had a boudin sausage knows what that means.

Oh, wait, you don't know what boudin is? Well, it is basically an atomic missile disguised as a Cajun sausage. Don't worry, I didn't know what it was either until I took a bite into it and had to call the local fire department to put out the fire in the back of my throat (actually, my husband just brought me some Ovaltine).

I've learned my lesson though: Never eat a boudin sausage before announcing the winners of a Giveaway.

Yep, you read that correctly! WinnerS. In appreciation of all my new readers and all those that entered the Spring Giveaway, I decided to pick two winners.

And now without further adieu....

According to the boudin gods (actually the random number integer), the winners of my Spring Giveaway are...

Lynne will be receiving these four embroidered napkins from Pier1 Imports

Lauren will be receiving this pair of handcrafted turquoise earrings handcrafted by me

Lynne and Lauren, send me an email to allievanwagoner at verizon dot net with your mailing address. I hope you like your gifts and everyone else stayed tuned for future giveaways!

Congrats to the winners. Those earrings are beautiful.

And on another note - good job taking the high road Allie. It's often the harder choice, but it's the one with the fewest regrets.

As purely torturous as it is not to have won with a half effort of, "Ummm Robins are fun," I still feel like a winner thanks to your ever so easy thin mint recipe. Thank you!!!

And, your posts make me feel so lucky to simply be able to love my kids and give them a stable home . . . and so sad to think that your mom wasn't able to do that for you for whatever reasons. But, I must say that you must be one tough A (shouldn't curse about something of that nature!) spirit to have come through seemingly with your faith intact. I'm sure your experiences will allow you to help so many others.

When I was a child my family moved from Texas to Arizona...I remember that we had gone grocery shopping and my Mom had asked if they had any boudin and they had never heard of it! Needless to say my family was crushed. We loved eating it. A few local chains just started carrying it a few years now my family can get their boudin fix. No more waiting until they head back to TX to visit family!

I must try me some Atomic Missile disguised as a Cajun sausage! I like me some hot'n'spicy!

And boo. I'm clearly too late to win cool prizes. Oh well. Next time.

I wanted to drop by to say thank you for your support in my Super Heavy Duty Post. I appreciate it greatly.

The boudin was HOT! I decided to make gumbo with it. Took some of the heat out and was perfectly filling!
